MOLOGEN AG: Abu Dhabi health authorities do not grant permission for patient treatment
The Berlin-based biotechnology company MOLOGEN AG announced today that its partner NMC Group has been informed by the local health authorities (GAHS) responsible for Abu Dhabi, not to grant permission for patient treatment by MOLOGEN´s cell-based gene therapy for regulatory reasons. MOLOGEN will review alternative solutions in the other Emirates in short term. In March 2006, MOLOGEN had entered an exclusive agreement with NMC Group for the distribution of the cell-based gene therapy in the hospitals owned by NMC.
